The Centre for Educational and Digital Innovation (CIEDix) is an institution under the Directorate General of Educational Planning and Innovation of the Regional Ministry of Education, Science, Universities and VET of the Xunta de Galicia, the regional governing body of Galicia (Spain).
CIEDix aims to contribute to the improvement and development of the Galician education system through educational research and analysis, the anticipation of emerging challenges and scenarios, the development and evaluation of educational solutions and technologies, cooperation with other stakeholders and education systems, and knowledge transfer.
Our work combines analysis, design, experimentation, piloting and evaluation, with an applied approach closely linked to the needs of educational institutions and to improving teaching and learning processes.
In accordance with Decree 204/2022, of 24 November, CIEDix’s main functions are:
- Research and the design of methodological models to improve teaching, learning and assessment processes.
- The study and analysis of educational resources aimed at improving the teaching and learning process and digital competence.
- The analysis of the design of learning spaces and the equipment required to adapt them to organisational and methodological changes.
- The design and evaluation of innovative projects for potential implementation in the education system.
The preparation of studies and reports in the fields of educational research, digitalisation and innovation.
