The Centre for Educational and Digital Innovation, CIEDix, is a newly created institution within the Directorate General of Education Planning and Innovation of the regional ministry of Education, Science, Universities and VET of the Xunta de Galicia, the regional governing body of Galicia (Spain). It was established with the aim of responding to future challenges and modernising teaching.
The main functions of the Centre (Decree 204/2022, of 24 November) are:
The research and design of methodological models for the improvement of teaching, learning and assessment processes.
The study and analysis of educational resources that allow the improvement of the teaching-learning process and digital competence.
The analysis of the design of educational spaces and the necessary equipment for their adaptation to organisational and methodological changes.
The design and assessment of innovative projects for the proposal of implementation in the educational system.
The preparation of studies and reports on research, digitalisation, and educational innovation.
Any other function that the educational administration entrusts the Centre within its scope of competence.
The strategic objectives currently set for the CIEDix are:
