Today, CIEDix hosted the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Regional Ministry of Education, Science, Universities and Vocational Training and the Council of Galician Culture to develop a new digital educational project aimed at promoting knowledge of Galicia’s geography, landscape, literature and cultural heritage.

The initiative, which will be launched during the next academic year, will help strengthen the presence of the Galician language and culture in education, while also promoting Galicia’s cultural, territorial and heritage wealth.

The project, consisting of an interactive web-based gamified tool, will enable users to identify different locations in Galicia by drawing on the works of Ramón Otero Pedrayo, his descriptions of the Galician landscape, and other cultural references. As the project develops, other authors and approaches related to Galicia’s cultural and territorial reality may also be incorporated.

CIEDix will contribute to the educational, methodological and functional design of the tool, as well as to assessing its suitability as a digital resource for schools. This collaboration will make it possible to explore new learning formats and strengthen the Centre’s role in the design, analysis and validation of innovative digital educational resources.
