The Regional Government of Galicia showcased its flagship digital education model at the International Exhibition for Educational Technology and Innovation (SIMO), held in Madrid. The model combines the proven value of analogue learning with the vast possibilities offered by new technologies, promoting responsible use and prioritising the wellbeing of the educational community.

The Galician Government hosted its own stand, coordinated by the Centre for Educational and Digital Innovation (CIEDix), where good practices and flagship projects were presented. Among them, CIEDix introduced the Ágora Dixital project — an educational platform for teachers in Galicia offering short, highly specialised digital resources focused on STEM competencies and pedagogical innovation. The platform organises its materials into six “labs”: LAB-Microsecuencias (reusable learning pills for classroom use), LAB-Espazos (guidelines for transforming learning spaces), LAB-Estratexias (innovative learning methodologies), LAB-Ideas (resources, calls for participation, and collaborative spaces), LAB-Expert (interviews with experts in STEM and education), and LAB-IA (support for teachers interested in starting out with artificial intelligence).

During his visit to SIMO, the Regional Minister for Education, Science, Universities and Vocational Training, Román Rodríguez, announced that Galicia will become the first region in Spain to adopt a Digital Education Act, also pioneering at the European level. He highlighted innovative initiatives such as Polos Creativos, Ágora Dixital, and cREAgal, all part of the Digital Education Strategy 2030.
