A delegation of members from INIBIC, the Biomedical Research Institute of A Coruña, constituted by the Consellería de Sanidade, SERGAS, the Universidade da Coruña, and the Fundación Profesor Novoa Santos, visited CIEDix with the aim of strengthening ties with secondary education.
Coinciding with the final meeting of the Erasmus+ KA3 project "Fostering STEAM Education in Schools," consortium members had the opportunity to firsthand experience the work and facilities of CIEDix on May 23, 2023.
On May 9, 2023, the Center for Educational and Digital Innovation (CIEDix) received the visit of Jorge Carvalho, Regional Secretary of Education, Science, and Technology of the regional government of Madeira (Portugal), and José Miguel de Sousa, General Director of DTIM (Regional Association for the Development of Technologies of Madeira), a certified training entity that works to promote the cross-sectional use of ICT in lifelong learning for its partners.
On February 7, 2023, the consortium of the Erasmus+ project "Blended Learning for All!", coordinated by CFR de Ferrol (the Training and Resource Centre of Ferrol) and made up of educational institutions from Hungary (Europa 2000 Secondary Education Institute), Portugal (Universidade Lusófona), and Turkey (Provincial Directorate of National Education of Mersin), visited the facilities of CIEDix.
The Council of the Xunta approved the decree establishing the Centre for Educational and Digital Innovation, a new specialised organization dedicated to enhacing the quality of the Galician education system and preparing it for future challenges in the field of research and professional qualifications.
This marks the launch of a benchmark centre that will identify needs, analyse, and design innovative methodologies, as well as conduct studies on spaces, equipment, and classroom organisation with the aim of implementing improvements to the teaching-learning process.
