Full STEAM Ahead!

Full STEAM Ahead! is an Erasmus+ project under Key Action 2 (Cooperation between organizations and institutions), focused on educational innovation in the STEAM field.

Its main objective is the design and development of modular, accessible, and ready-to-use STEAM educational resources for the classroom, based on active methodologies, practical learning, and the pedagogical use of digital resources. 

CIEDix participates in the Kick-Off Meeting of the Erasmus+ project Full STEAM Ahead! in Braga

The Centre for Educational and Digital Innovation (CIEDix) participated on 11 December in Braga, Portugal, in the Kick-Off Meeting of the Erasmus+ KA210 Full STEAM Ahead! project, a European initiative focused on improving the quality, inclusion and equity in STEAM education, as well as strengthening transnational cooperation between educational centres and specialised organisations.

Visit by USC Master’s Students in Teacher Training to CIEDix

On 12 November, a group of students from the Master’s Degree in Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Language Teaching at the University of Santiago de Compostela visited the Centre for Educational and Digital Innovation (CIEDix) with the aim of learning first-hand about its structure, facilities, equipment, and working methodology.

Galicia presents its leading digital education model at SIMO, focused on wellbeing and innovation

The Regional Government of Galicia showcased its flagship digital education model at the International Exhibition for Educational Technology and Innovation (SIMO), held in Madrid. The model combines the proven value of analogue learning with the vast possibilities offered by new technologies, promoting responsible use and prioritising the wellbeing of the educational community.

CIEDix advisor contributes to European report on Explainable Artificial Intelligence in Education

José Viñas, an advisor at the Centre for Educational and Digital Innovation (CIEDix), was part of the international team that produced the report “Explainable AI in Education: Fostering Human Oversight and Shared Responsibility”, recently published within the framework of the European Digital Education Hub.

School Leaders and Inspectors from Upper Franconia (Bavaria) Explore CIEDix Initiatives

On 3 April, a delegation of around 30 school inspectors and headteachers from the Upper Franconia region in the federal state of Bavaria (Germany) visited the Centre for Educational and Digital Innovation (CIEDix) to learn more about the initiatives being developed at the centre during the current academic year.

CIEDix Completes Its First Teacher Training Residencies with Educational Resources on Local Heritage

The Centre for Educational and Digital Innovation (CIEDix) has successfully concluded its first teacher training residencies, during which educators Eva Castro and Francisco Ávila developed an innovative open-access educational resource titled "A Guided Tour of Our Heritage." This initiative, undertaken through a professional development programme under the submodality 1.b.3, highlights the commitment of Galician educators to integrating new methodologies into the teaching and learning process.

The Center for Educational and Digital Innovation (CIEDix) participated in the 10th edition of the SIMO Education Fair, one of Spain's premier events in the field of educational technology, attracting over 9,000 visitors. For the first time, the Xunta de Galicia hosted a stand to highlight the successful Galician educational model, recognized for its outstanding results.

STEMbach Networks: New Teaching and Learning Strategies

On Friday, November 15, the training activity G2402023 – STEMbach Networks: New Teaching and Learning Strategies was held at the Fontán Building in the Cidade da Cultura. Organized by the Center for Educational and Digital Innovation in collaboration with the STEMbach advisory team from the Directorate General for Educational Organization and Innovation and the Autonomous Center for Training and Innovation (CAFI), the event showcased the program’s main updates for the current school year.
